Karensa Menzies
Karensa brings over 20 years’ experience working across agricultural and food industry development, R&D, innovation, education and business development, both locally and internationally. She has a deep understanding of the contemporary challenges, opportunities and drivers of sustainable agricultural value chains, marketplace development and investment decision making.
Working with a range of clients from primary and value-add producers, R&D and education providers through to industry, government, agribusiness and start-up technologies, Karensa understands and helps break down the complexities involved for agrifood value chains, businesses and communities.
With extensive experience in strategic development, Karensa has a keen understanding of the nuances involved in building trusted relationships and future-proof business models for a diversity of clients and stakeholders. In 2017, she established her own advisory business to work at the intersection of industry development, science and innovation, agribusiness and rural and regional development across the Asia Pacific.

Karensa is the Chair of the Great South Coast Food and Fibre’s Regional Value-add, Investment and Sustainability Committee, contributes to several national agricultural R&D steering groups, the Dairy People Development Council and is an alumni of AIYD, the Australian-Indian emerging leaders program.

Growing up in rural Victoria, Karensa maintains her grass roots connections and involvement in the family farm, rural and social impact initiatives, alongside a love of the outdoors and mountain biking.
Energised by teamwork and collaboration, she now brings this passion and expertise to Brolga Co.
Cath Jenkins
Cath works in the fields of business coaching and management, rural industry development, agribusiness, and sustainability. With over 20 years’ experience working across a range of industries and sectors, she has worked extensively with farming families, businesses, industry groups, government agencies and rural communities.

Cath has a deep working knowledge of the key drivers of sustainability, business profitability and the factors influencing industry & community development. Her skills in relationship building and collaboration with individuals, teams and industry groups allow her to add value to clients looking to lead and implement change and deliver on outcomes.
​
As current Chair of the Corangamite Management Authority, Cath has strong leadership skills and governance experience. Other board experience has given her extensive networks throughout rural Victoria and agricultural and natural resource management sectors.

Cath and her family live on a farm in South west Victoria where they run grazing cattle and free range chickens. She enjoys being involved in local community groups and sporting organisations. In her spare time, she is attempts to improve her golf handicap.
Adam Jenkins
Adam has more than 25 years’ experience working across agriculture including corporate agribusiness, finance and banking, extension/education, industry leadership and advocacy. He has also run his family farm for the past 17 years.

Adam has a strong understanding of agricultural industries, their communities and the challenges and opportunities that exist for Australian agriculture, now and in the future. He has a thorough understanding of the key drivers of success including governance, culture, strategic management, profit drivers, risk, people and the use of current innovation practices.

Adam has a vast network and has built strong relationships across the food and fibre supply chain both locally and internationally.
