Livelihood development
In collaboration with Anant Learning & Development (India) and Anant Foundation for Innovation & Social Inclusion, Karensa supported the establishment A.Bani and local processing and livelihood promotions centres (LPCs) in rural Meghalaya. This collaboration is ongoing and involved founding of the Australian Dairy Advisory Consortium. A.Bani procures farmer produce in rural communities and implements market linkages to enhance livelihoods and rural economies, and continues to grow its reach and impact.

Strategic review and analysis of the School of Biosciences performance toward the University’s Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan. This created a strategic plan across the broader Faculty of Science to strengthen Indigenous reconciliation and collaboration across the areas of employment, students and research.
Delivery of tailored programs for Government of Bangladesh Ministry of Agriculture delegations to learn about Australian agriculture practices, our R&D framework and explore opportunities for collaboration. Targeted delegation programs have included the cotton, irrigation, honey, pulses and oilseeds sectors.
Strategic review and analysis of the Asian-Australian Diaspora approach to philanthropy demonstrated that trust is a key influencing factor within giving practices and highlighted cross-cultural opportunities to leverage this for mutual benefits across Asian, Australian and multicultural communities.
